hey,

The X2XII Myspace page is now up and running again. it's still under construction (we've not had the decorators in yet, for example) but we've uploaded 2 songs so far.

Time Slides By - the first song we made whilst down in the South West with Olie. just recorded the chords live originally, but then we put it through Cubase the other day (early morning, to be precise) and, thanks to Olie's music tech skills, the odd idea i contributed, and a bit of luck, we got the version currently on the Myspace page. think it's still my fav of the two, but judge for yourself.

You - the second one we recorded in the South West, this one's a lil more complex in that there's A and B sections for the guitar as well as the vocals (yes, we were feeling confident lol) anyway...wasn't too keen on the original cos i didn't like my lyrics (faaaar too emo) but when we sat down with Cubase to try and make it sound a little more presentable i got the opportunity to change the lyrics, and i did...all of one word. anyway, then the slightly more adventurous song took another twist when Olie and I decided to try and do backing vocals. yes, technology is so brilliant it lets me sing about three parts simultaneously, whilst Olie does 2 AT THE SAME TIME! so yeah, and the finished version is on the Myspace now as well.

so, that's our first two tracks available for the public to listen to. onward and upward from here - we've got some pretty good ideas coming through, and we're all learning the trade pretty quickly so look out for more from us.
